Purnagiri Temple is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site located in Uttarakhand, India. It is situated on a hilltop in the Pithoragarh district of the state and is dedicated to Goddess Purnagiri, who is believed to be a manifestation of Goddess Shakti.The temple is also known as Punyagiri Temple and is considered one of the 108 Shakti Peethas, where body parts of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva carried her charred remains after her self-immolation.Purnagiri Temple attracts a large number of devotees from different parts of India, especially during the Chaitra Navratri festival, which is celebrated in March-April every year. The temple can be reached by climbing a steep staircase of around 1000 steps or by taking a cable car. The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking, with the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas visible in the distance.
